I'd never heard of Katy Perry until I stumbled upon this post from the Ephemerist today, but on first listen of "Ur So Gay", I feel like she's the sister I never had.
Catchy tune, hilarious-but-sad-but-true in that we've-been-there-or-know-someone-who-has lyrics way. But all that aside, she's got a great voice and sweet-ass rhythm. And the incorporation of horns as what sound like Atari 2600 SFX is always a crowd pleaser from where I stand.
